Storm damage roof inspections

After hail or high winds, roof damage is not always visible from the ground. We check the roof, gutters and vents, document what we find with photos and give you a written report.

What the inspection covers

We inspect every slope of the roof, plus the things that often show storm damage first:

  • Shingles: creases, missing tabs, hail bruising and granule loss
  • Flashing, vents and ridge caps
  • Gutters and downspouts
  • Soft metals such as vent caps, which show hail dents clearly
  • The attic, for new leaks

Working with your insurance company

We give you dated photos and a written report you can share with your insurance company. Your insurer and its adjuster decide what is covered. We do not negotiate your claim for you, but if you want, we can meet the adjuster at your home to point out the damage we documented.

Protecting your home in the meantime

If the storm opened up your roof, call us. Temporary protection, like a tarp, can limit water damage until repairs are approved. Keep receipts for anything you spend, because many policies ask for them.

    Questions about Storm damage inspection

Should I call my insurance company or a roofer first?

Either order works. Many homeowners like to know whether there is real damage before they file a claim. Our inspection is free, and you keep the photos either way.

Is there a deadline to file a storm claim?

Each policy sets its own deadline, so check yours or ask your agent. It is best not to wait.

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?

That depends on your insurer and your policy. We cannot answer that for you, but your agent can.

Do you help with HOA approvals?

Yes. We help you put together what your HOA needs to approve the project.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. We handle the permits and schedule the inspections the job requires.
